I am a contemporary realist painter and sculptor, whose primary subjects are people in a variety of social settings. I work almost exclusively in oil and acrylic paints. However, I occasionally dabble and experiment with almost any artistic medium. Additionally, I enjoy working with sculpture mediums to create 3-dimensional art pieces.
My interest in art started as a young kid who was intrigued and fascinated by animated cartoons, comic strips, and comic books. Over the years, as I grown older, wiser, and more mature, my interest in those genres has not diminished. However, as I gained more experience and exposure, the range of my artistic interests became much deeper and broader.
I have studied at the Atlanta College of Art (currently the Savannah College of Art); The Center for Creative Studies; National University; and Georgia State University. Today, I draw my inspiration from my interest and involvement with common everyday people, in common everyday settings.
Through my art, I make every attempt to capture and convey the essence of those observations in the most unique, uncommon, and original artistic creations.
